How is it defending American values to shut down an honest and open discussion on an important issue by shouting down anyone who disagrees with you? How is denying another persons' right to be heard an American value? How is that furthering the democratic process?

This is pissing me off big-time. Not only are Republican/corporate interest groups astroturfing like crazy on the health care issue, they're flat-out lying about and misrepresenting socialized medicine in Canada. We do NOT have endless waiting lines, you will NOT be denied any procedure or treatment based on age, and taxpayers do NOT bear the full costs of healthcare. Even in Canada, there are out-of-pocket health expenses. Not everything is free. But you can't be denied basic medical insurance coverage like you can be in the U.S.
I hope the totality of all these things (tea-bagging, fake outrage, making shit up) will clue reasonable people into the fact that the goal of the Republican party is not governance or making the country a better place. Their goal is merely to obstruct. How embarrassing it must be for them to have been reduced to that. Or maybe not.
How many times do they have to get caught red-handed before they knock this sh** off?
