But I will share some photos....

Last weekend I went with a few friends to the 30th Anniversary party for Neo, now officially Chicago's oldest and longest running nightclub. Cillic has been going there forever, and he and AuntieHeathen started bringing me there about what, 6-7 years ago? It took me a while to feel comfortable there - because it took me a while to figure out that nobody gave a fuck what you wore, what you look like, how you dance, or what (or if) you drink. Plus, well, I love Industrial music so =>plus. Here's a recent Tribune article about the place and it's history. Interesting stuff.

Here's some other pictures I took today.

I went with boy to the Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park and got a lovely SteamPunk pinky ring:

And here's a few Chicago shots from a downtown rooftop deck. I love this city.

I've always liked Steampunk, and was very disappointed with how A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen came out. I'd like to see more Steampunk movies. Just need to execute better.

And of course you know I like Industrial

Z is into steampunk big time! He's been creating pieces from dollar store parts for a couple of years now. I had no idea there was a market for this stuff. Maybe I should encourage his "art"?

I don't think it costs anything to start an Etsy page. Talk to Sadie about that. There's a TON of steampunk stuff for sale on etsy.

Looove the ring!! I'm partial to insect rings, but a steampunk ring would rock. I have this thing for cogs and old school machinery that I don't really understand.

I think I'll keep quiet about the steampunk on Etsy right now. Knowing Z, he'd buy instead of selling. ;)

Nice pics! I visited Chicago in August - I would have liked to spend more time there. We didn't get to see everything. I have one complaint, though, it was hotter than hell and sweaty. I can't handle humidity, apparently. :-P
